Who understands men?

No offence, just something to laugh about... and probably to start another wave of discussion! :)

The nice men are ugly.
The handsome men are not nice.
The handsome and nice men are gay.
The handsome, nice and heterosexual men are married.
The men who are not so handsome, but are nice men, have no money.
The men who are not so handsome, but are nice men with money think we are only after their money.
The handsome men without money are after our money.
The handsome men, who are not so nice and somewhat heterosexual, don't think we are beautiful enough.
The men who think we are beautiful, that are heterosexual, somewhat nice and have money, are pigs.
The men who are somewhat handsome, somewhat nice and have some money and thank God are heterosexual, are shy and NEVER MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!
The men who never make the first move, automatically lose interest in us when we take the initiative.

NOW, WHO IN THE WORLD UNDERSTANDS MEN?

Men are like a fine wine. They all start out like grapes, and it's our job to stomp on them and keep them in the dark until they mature into something you'd like to have dinner with.

Hidding from love

From another perspective, singlehood did not become an option because the sources of phileo love have decentralised, but rather, the acceptance of singlehood in today's society has liberated many minds while at the same time, become a seemingly legitimate reason for not getting hitched.

Love is a necessity because we are created by God for relationships, and with the capacity to love. We are to love God and we are to love our neighbors as ourselves, aren't we? But the undeniable truth is that many people aren't ready for love and as a matter of fact, are hiding from it. Whether due to fear, shame or pride, their hearts are never free or capable of giving, much less, loving.

At the end of the day, it is not really about whether you found the One, but whether you are ready when he/she walks into your life. Ha, you can run, but you can't hide... So be ready to forgive, to be healed, to open your heart, to change, to give, to embrace and to love again. God's love encompasses all.

Raine said, 'you don't marry the person you can live with, you marry the person you can't live without.' I totally agree with both hands up! So to all my fellow singletons, I wish you will find the one whom you can't live without and embrace the shores of marital bliss soon! Here's a toast to true love... Cheerios!
